It was clean and safe. While it is close to the tenderloin, my friend and I felt fine when we were walking late at night to back to the hostel. While there is no parking at the hostel it’s located nearby to a tested parking lot so that was nice. The breakfast was good too; small but the waffles were tasty.

Easy check in/check out. Comfortable bed. Good size (private) room. Clean. Breakfast was convenient and provided good choice. Having the lift is also great.

The Orange Village Hostel exceeded my expectations - the room was very clean, the kitchen facilities were extensive and clean, the breakfast was good, the clientele was diverse and interesting, and the whole place felt clean and safe. Lots of charging stations all over for your devices, solid wifi throughout the facility, very helpful staff, and located within walking distance of great restaurants and public transportation throughout the city.

My compliments to the friendly, helpful staff/ other travelers that consistently make the Orange a great place to stay. The building s secure, clean, and well maintained. Private 2 bunk rooms , spacious lounge/ dining area, well equipted kitchen, and an elevator . A)so, appreciate the breakfast in the am and thanks again friends!

The room was spacious and comfortable mattresses and pillows. We booked the twin bed in suite bathroom and it was facing a quiet side of the street on the 4th floor. Location was central, they had good security. Breakfast was great, yogurt, cereal, bananas, waffles and toast. Nutella and peanut butter. The hostel was clean and friendly.

Very friendly reception. Great location, near to metro stations, walkable distance to the financial district streets and most attractions. Free breakfast, all basic items, more choices for bread spreads (nutella, peanut butter, milk butter, fruit jam, egg omelette), hot waffles, hot tea, coffee and tasty orange juice. It´s ideal spot for young singles and groups for few days stay. Definitely not for family with kids. Even though my room was shared bed dorm (two bed), it was comfortable and more spacious for moving around. all linen's were supplied as described. very safe bag storage system at the reception.

This was amazing value for money. My friends and I split a three-bed room for two nights and paid not much more than $USD70 each. The room itself was spacious, clean, and amply-stocked - it even had a fridge and microwave - and the location was perfect for seeing San Francisco.

The location was was great! I know they say there are a lot of homeless and it’s somewhat in a sketchy area (it’s true), but it is tolerable and the public transportation is so close to the hostel. The hostel didn’t have a/c, thankfully the room provided a small fan. I would stay here again during the fall or winter! I wouldn’t recommend it during the hot summers. I got lucky that during my stay the night was chill. Overall, the beds are fairly comfy! Breakfast was ok; cereal, waffles, toast. It was nice having an additional bathroom outside in the hall way.

The hostel is well situated towards the center of San Francisco. There are public transports all around, and things to do/see in all directions. I had a shared room, which contained three beds, the room was clean, quiet and without light during the night. I have not tasted the breakfast but had decent coffee and orange juice in the morning. The facility also have a common room with TV, books and games.

Easy check in, secure, clean, affordable, I ended up having a room by myself so it was nice and quiet. I had an appointment the next morning at the SF Passport Agency so this was a perfect one night stay. Front desk staff was courteous.
